What to wear
Shorts/Pants: Ideally, you want to find clothing that is comfortable and breathable. Players wear anything from surf shorts to athletic sport shorts. When the temperature drops, many players weart their shorts over spandex pants (yes, boys too!) to stay warm. Pants (or tights) also prevent scratching your legs/knees during layouts.
T-shirts/Jerseys: You want to ensure that what you are wearing is 100% breathable. Be prepared to layer up with a long sleeve shirt during cold weather. It is also important to always bring a light (white) and a dark shirt to your games in case you are ever playing a team with a similar colour.
Footwear: You'll want to invest in a pair of soft cleats (metal cleats are not permitted). Typically, players wear soccer cleats. If you do not want to invest in cleats right away, you are allowed to wear running shoes. Keep in mind that there is lots of cutting in and out / pivoting (side to side action) and you will want to get the best grip possible.

Ultimate frisbee: what's the deal?!
Ultimate is an exciting non-contact sport that is rapidly gaining popularity across the world!
Combining the non-stop movement and athletic endurance of soccer with the aerial passing skills of football, a game of Ultimate is played by two seven-player squads with a disc on a field similar to football.
The object of the game is to score by catching a pass in the opponent’s end zone. A player must stop running while in possession of the disc, but may pivot and pass to any of the other receivers on the field. Ultimate is a transition game in which players move quickly from offense to defense on turnovers that occur with a dropped pass, an interception, a pass out of bounds, or when a player is caught holding the disc for more than ten seconds.
Ultimate is governed by Spirit of the Game™ (contesting calls without arguing, dangers plays, mutual respect...), a tradition of sportsmanship that places the responsibility of fair play on the players rather than referees. Players ALWAYS respect each other, the sport of ultimate and communities you are playing in.
